As the contours of the American national election battlefield begin to fully emerge, U.S. policy towards Israel enters a period of intense scrutiny. With a bellicose Iran, an unstable Middle East, and an emboldened Palestinian Authority, the stakes for the survival of Western civilization have never been higher. Now Obama must pivot from his hitherto consistent abuse and endangerment of Israel, and deploy the cynical lies and duplicity of "deep Israeli friendship and commitment" that will drive his campaign narrative – but not his actions – until the polls close election day, November 6.
Because never has Obama's need for Jewish American votes, and his strategic requirement to regain political loyalty from alienated pro-Israel liberal Democrats, been so urgent. Now watch Obama's comportment, rhetoric and ostensible policies dramatically shift from the shocking hostility he has meted out non-stop upon Israel through his administration thus far. (Click Here to view a 30 minute video on Obama's REAL views on Israel.) As we enter election season, witness the sudden shift to seemingly Israel-supportive stances and media sound bites that will magically appear for use by the Obama re-election campaign. Witness – and then help us testify to the truth of Israel's peril!
The Obama campaign is feeling the heat from friends of the Jewish state – at the end of January they put out a video extolling Obama's record on Israel. (It is missing its "Paid For and Authorized By" FEC-required disclosure, by the way – federal campaign law is for the little people.) They took excerpts from speeches and press statements by Israeli leaders, similar to that by leftwing Labor Party Israeli President Shimon Peres on Thursday, who said that Obama is "a great president and a great friend of Israel," and that security cooperation between the U.S. and Israel is "the best we've ever had."
The Obama faction's propaganda piece is now circulating as "proof" that Israelis, even Bibi Netanyahu, view Obama as a great friend of the Jewish state.
According to preeminent Israeli analyst Caroline Glick, "On the whole it was an obscene production. What can Binyamin Netanyahu or any other Israeli official say other than that Obama is a great friend of Israel? We have to face the dismal fact that Obama may remain in the White House until 2017. No Israeli official can afford to say openly what they think of this man."
But YOU can! Help us NOW!
Thanks to you and to thousands of Americans, Obama is finally being buffeted by pressing demands that United States official policy be far more forthright with support for Israel: in our mutual confrontation with Iran, and in answering Palestinian aggression against the Jewish state.
Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are meeting in Washington this week on these vital topics, as the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) holds its yearly convention in Washington and both men speak there. Not coincidental to these high-profile appearances, there is much present uproar in the "elite" media with news coverage, commentary and radical advocacy that is opportunistically agitating against Israel.
Worth noting for its vile intensity is the "virulent hate speech you'd expect to find on a neo-Nazi website" at two prominent progressive, pro-Obama organizations – the Center for American Progress and Media Matters – in which "American Jews who support current Israeli policies are accused of dual loyalty and called 'Israel-firsters' in a deliberate evocation of the libel of Jewish disloyalty to country that were a central tenet of Nazism, Stalinism and other anti-Semitic regimes. Today, it is the mantra of Jew haters and neo-Nazis," and associated with Obama's campaign, according to none other than liberal Zionist Alan Dershowitz.
Worse slurs await those who love Israel and expressly reject Obama; authentic anti-Semitic canards historically reserved just for Jews: "Saying AIPAC is guilty of dual loyalty is giving it credit for one more loyalty than it holds," screeched Media Matters. Who says the hard-left isn't the party of peace, freedom and tolerance?
And about that free speech issue; we have all been prevailed upon as supporters of Israel to PLEDGE not to criticize Barack Obama's record on Israel. Probably needless to say, America Stands With Israel will not be signing this pledge:
"The Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee have joined together in an effort to encourage other national organizations, elected officials, religious leaders, community groups and individuals to rally around bipartisan support for Israel while preventing the Jewish State from becoming a wedge issue in the upcoming campaign season. Join the ADL and AJC in taking the "National Pledge for Unity on Israel"
And just to make the circle complete, the radical, Jew-hating left has launched international Israel Apartheid Week (IAW) once again. Described on its official website as "an annual international series of events held in cities and campuses across the globe," its aim is "to educate people about the nature of Israel as an apartheid system and to build Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) campaigns as part of a growing global BDS movement."
Typically, the IAW hate-fest against all things Israeli includes events (lectures, films, rallies, poetry readings, art exhibitions and so on) spanning anything from 60 to 90 cities from Albuquerque to Zurich. This year, however, there is a new low in its mission, beyond "education" to what amounts to an open call for the eradication of the state of Israel.
An international drive has begun to annul Jewish sovereignty, to fuse all the territory between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea into one, ostensibly poly-ethnic, political unit and to apply the South African model of the "Truth and Reconciliation Commission" on the false perception of the Zionist regime's alleged apartheid practices. This propaganda mimics the South African precedent in dealing with "individuals who may have committed war crimes" (IDF soldiers and Israeli security personnel) to "achieve justice for the victims of racism" (the Palestinians).
A planned conference at Harvard University has provoked vehement protest from numerous prominent pro-Israeli figures – including the American Jewish Committee's David Harris, Harvard's Alan Dershowitz and The Jerusalem Post's Caroline Glick – who have pointed out, quite correctly, that the event is a thinly veiled call for the abolition of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people.
The future of Jerusalem, and indeed Israel's very survival, may well depend upon America's faithfulness… upon what We the People do – will pro-Muslim Barack Hussein Obama continue to refuse to honor God, repudiating America's moral, diplomatic, and strategic bond with the Jewish People? Will he put forward duplicitous propaganda, or truly STAND WITH ISRAEL?
AND IF OBAMA CONTINUES TO PLAY A DOUBLE GAME, GIVING LIP SERVICE OF FRIENDSHIP BUT BETRAYING ISRAEL IN DEED; EMPOWERING THE ARAB WORLD – WILL CONGRESS INTERVENE?
407 Congressmen voted for House Resolution 268 which clearly reminds us WHAT U.S. LAW CURRENTLY SAYS:
"Resolved: That the House of Representatives … reaffirms the United States statutory requirement precluding assistance to a Palestinian Authority that includes Hamas unless that Authority and all its ministers publicly accept Israel's right to exist and all prior agreements and understandings with the United States and Israel."
This is to say that U.S. federal law already prohibits our taxpayer funding of the Palestinian Authority should they violate Res. 242 and/or the 1993 Oslo Accords, and join the Hamas terrorists to illicitly seek a rogue "state." This is precisely what they have now done at the UN. American law requires defunding the Palestinians, and now that they have acted in violation of prior agreements, CONGRESS MUST DEMAND THAT U.S. LAW BE ENFORCED!
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rightly repeated his call for an "indivisible, eternal" Jerusalem as the Jewish capitol. He called the Gilo housing project that Obama had made an international incident against Israel "nothing new" and said, "We plan in Jerusalem. We build in Jerusalem. Period. The same way Israeli governments have been doing for 44 years, since the end of the 1967 war."
The Netanyahu government also noted in a statement at the UN that "Jerusalem is the capitol of the Jewish people; this is our heart. Jerusalem was the capitol of the Jewish people when London was still a swamp…"
Tell Congress to DEFUND the UN, and let them know they will BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE if they do not protect the indivisible, eternal Jerusalem as the capitol for Eretz Israel.
I implore you – STAND FOR ISRAEL and DEMAND CONGRESS DO THE SAME!
